  1. In today’s paper I had read that a masked robber carrying two handguns robbed a taco shop on Tuesday. The robber had walked up to the taco shop late Tuesday at about 11:50 p.m. The robber had handed an employee a note saying to put the money in the bag. He then had then pointed both the guns at the employee. In other news a acrobat loses his grip on a chain and falls to his death. His name was José angel Vera, he was 31 years of age. He was performing at a PGA golftournment dinner in Scottsdale Arizona. He was performing a trick to were it looked like he was going up and down on a chain like a yo-yo. But on his way down his grip slipped and fell. He had landed headfirst about 15-20 feet from the floor. They said their was no malfunction with any of the equipment. He just simply slipped away from the chain.

  2. The article I read this morning was about a man who is under arrest in suspicion of robbing banks in the county of San Diego. The man was identified as Stephan Francis Colburn, 54. He pleaded not guilty in the San Diego Superior Court yesterday. Colburn is being charged with nine counts of armed robbery and one count of attempted bank robbery. All the charges he’s being charged with are felonies. Colburn the serial bank robber is known as “Big Boy Bandit”. He is the same man suspected of being the “ Goldilocks Bandit”. He already served four years in a federal prison for robbing a Bank of America in December 1995.
I think that this man is guilty. I don’t understand how this man can be so dumb to going back robbing banks if he already did time for getting caught doing it once. I hope that this man learns his lesson because he is dumb.
An interesting fact that I read was that if convicted he could be sent to prison for more than 43 years.

  4. I read in the paper today about the stimulus bill that was passed by the house on a 244 to 188 vote. The plan didn’t get support from any republicans but was still passed by the democratic dominated house of Representatives. In World news the fragile cease fire between Hamas militants and Israel was broken once again with tit for tat bombardments. Hamas is still mad about the embargo placed on the Gaza Strip and the closing of crossings. These are the only few demands Hamas has for them to cease rocket fire which have not been met. In sports news the Steelers are supposed to beat the cardinals by seven points. I believe this is not going to happen I think the Cardinals are going to win. In local news a survey was done in America and it says that the second most favored place to live is San Diego California I think that is untrue because who wants' to move somewhere where it’s hot everyday.

  5. In today’s paper I read that a man shot himself after killing his wife and children. Yesturday police said he was deep in debt and was planning to leave California. The man’s name was Ervin Lupoe and he was 40 years of age. He was also atleast one month behind on his mortgage loans. He owed atleast 15,000 to Internal Revenue Services, which totaled 850,000. Lupoe and his wife Ana, 40, had recently remodeled their house in Wilmington, and also both had been fired from their hospital jobs. The reason for being dismissed was because their were being investigated for lying about their income to quality for cheaper child care. City police detective David Cortez said that Lupoe planned to take his family to his brother-in-law in Garden City, Kan. The vehicle that belonged to Lupoe and his family was found packed with children’s clothing and snow chains. The bodies of Lupoe and his family wre found Tuesday.

  6. In the San Diego Union Tribune I read about a Oceanside being accused of robbing a number of recent banks. This is not the only time he is being “accused”. The first time was more than 10 years ago. The man pleaded not guilty yesterday in court to nine counts of armed robbery and one count of attempted bank robbery, which are all felonies. If he is convicted he will be facing 43 years in prison. The man was caught red handed the first time and served time. Now he’s out and he’s a striker can’t get a job so I would believe he potentially did do what he is being accused of doing in 1996. there was no distinct difference in the two robbers. The system is made just for you to get caught again they let you out letting everyone know what you did and that you’re a criminal. So you can do anything for money but more crimes. This is the sick formula they put on us.

  7. Today I read about a fugitive mom to be freed from Michigan jail. The Michigan Parole Board had voted unanimously to release Carmel's Valley’s fugitive mom from prison, this time, her release will be legal. She called her husband and she was very excited and happy. Instead of releasing her immediately, the parole board will wait until May 19- the punishment to at least 10 misconducts infractions she has racked up in prison. They include disobeying direct orders and hiding prescription pills in her cell. The prison authorities said they would be closely watching LeFevre’s conduct pending to her release. Her attorney mentioned that for her they were going to be four long months but absolutely a victory. LeFevre told her husband that she would be counting the days- 111 of them to be exact- until she can reunite with her husband and their son and two daughters in Carmel Valley. She hopes to go back home soon and continue living a normal life. She got charges for selling heroine and escaping a barbed-wire prison fence and starting a new life in California.

  8. Today in the union tribune I read that john Landis, is suing Michael Jackson because of fraud in his handling of profits from the Thriller video the two made together more than 25 years ago. He said that the contract gave him 50 percent of net profits from the 14 minute video and the documentary about the making of it, both works that he directed and co wrote with Michael Jackson. Jackson wrongfully refused to pay or account the such profits, the suit, filed against the singer and Optimum Productions. Michael Jackson’s lawyers have not responded to the accusations which were filed on January 21. john Landis is best known as director of Animal House and An American Werewolf in London. He made the song into a short horror movie with Vincent Price adding narration.
I think that John Landis should’ve stayed quit. Who cares if he did what he did, Michael Jackson is the star, not you. Plus it was his song in the first place, how does he know that it could’ve been the song and not the video.
